Two, Five and Six
In view is second floor of ONE, crawl space of TWO, top floor of SIX, windows in FIVE, and freshly debarked log on beach for future canoe and kayak float. Note the optical illusion of SIX and ONE not being parallel ~ that's because they don't face the exact same angle to the water.

Rene in her future home
Lo and behold, witness the feeling of Rene in her future home. She'll be able to smell low tide. She removed her safety gear for the photo. Yes the ROLANO is still there but probably gone soon. An errant sailboat drifted into ROLANO and got hung up on the bowsprit. Now it is tied alongside, waiting for its owner.

Highway of pipes
The highway of pipes goes up the hill. This used to be our driveway. All this gets buried.

Note the 'comfort blanket' on FIVE. It's over an inch of insulation on the outside. FIVE is also insulated inside with plastic vapour barrier. About ready for drywall and outside siding.

What the hell is this?
A rusty old pipe dug up by the excavator, next to Common House. But not just any old pipe. It has historical significance.

The Leechtown miners arrived and hung out at the bottom of our hill, where Heggelund's dock is now. There used to be a four room 'hotel' right there and a water pipe ran down from near Sooke Road diagonally through the Murray Bros farm to the wharf. It ran across our property and I have dug up pieces of it in the past. This might be the last piece and it even has a faucet on it. Sooke's first road ran up from Heggelund's, through Harbourside (through ONE and TWO) and west toward Frederique and Sinclair's. You can see its remains to the west of ONE. But big alders have grown up in the meantime.

It's rumoured that one of the miners buried a pot of gold somewhere on our hillside and then disappeared. We are still looking. Roger the excavator says if he finds it we will know because he won't be at work the next day.
